And after browsing through some of the pictures
I've taken the past weeks I have remembered a few more things that happened in our lives. First, we've played outside ALOT. It's gorgeous, cool fall weather here. And one day my favorite skinny jeans progressively ripped all the way up and down the backside . . . while I was playing outside. I had to take a picture because I will miss them (not that I truly ever fit back into them) . . . but I'm not saving jeans anymore so I can make a quilt later. Last time that was 5 years and more hassle than it was worth.

Also Ellie has started running. Her running in combination with playing outside with Dukie-boy created her forehead's first meeting with our concrete patio. There is nothing worse to a mother than hearing that sickening thud of a head hit concrete -- and Ellie was face first. That was a scary moment for me. Anyway, it left no bruise or side effects whatsoever. Kids are resilient.

And the last item I couldn't help but take a picture of. Elle-doll loves to get into everything; cupboards, drawers, the fridge, etc. Usually she sticks her head in there to check it out and I can pull her out of there when I need to. Well I don't know when she was able to sneak this one by me, but here is her shoe:
I think I would cry if Nora wrote on my couches. I think I am going to learn from you and no carrying around pens or pencils!
