Firsts

I've always felt a little bad for dads. They have to go out and work and they only get to see their babies a few hours (if that) a day. I've especially felt that way when Ellie has a "first". Her first step, first tooth, etc. Overwhelmingly moms are the witnesses. Well, last night Darik came home, we ate dinner, & it was time for Ellie's bath. We thought it would be good daddy/daughter time so off the two of them went. We fill up the tub, a few minutes later she pees in it so we drain & fill up the tub again. Darik getting ready to scrub her down with soap, when all of a sudden she has a "first" right in front of darik. The first poo in the tub. I helped clean up the mess, disenfect the tub, and fill it up again. I didn't take a picture, it was not appropriate. But I wanted to give a shout out to D for being able to witness one of Ellie's "firsts". Hee.
