Paparazzi

I am all about my digital camera. Me and my Nikon Coolpix are soulmates, meant to be together . . . I have a family website with my mom's side (Briscoe Fam) where you can post news, pics, photos, moview reviews, etc. Well after Ellie was born I think I probably posted about 3 new pics of her a week on there. I was just so addicted to the digicam and my adorably adorable kid -- I just had to share it. This summer we had a family vacation in Nauvoo with everyone. At the end my uncle put together a photo slide show where he just took the memory cards from everyone's cameras and let Windows Slideshow do it's work. You have no idea how much crap I got from all my aunts and uncles (whom I all love so much and whom I'm sure love me) . . . when my photos started being flashed up there the whole crowd just broke out giving me a hard time:

"Hey it's just like the family website, all Ellie!"
"Yep, it's the Ellie-channel; all-Ellie, all the time . . . 24/7"
"Hey Kris, do you ever put your camera down???"

Ha ha ha ha . . . good laughs at my expense :-) That's cool. I know I'm addicted to preserving almost every moment of Ellie's live via digital pictures. It's just gotten a little harder lately. It was so much easier when Elle was just a baby and she could just sit there being her gorgeous self while I clicked away. She's fascinated by the camera and its lights and tons of cool buttons. So anytime she hears or sees it she stops the cute activity I was trying to capture and comes running with her hands out trying to grab the darn camera. So yes, I am now the paparazzi. I'm always hiding around corners, trying to sneak up on bathtime, playtime, piano time, etc., without being caught. This is a shot of me using my full zoom from two rooms away:

I swear if I had been in the bathroom with her she would have stood up, tried to climb out of the tub to try to push the button herself. What's a mom to do?
