In the Ghetto
If you've ever gone to school in Rexburg (RC/BYUI) you should know where Ghetto Village is. Up on the hill above the Kimball/Hinckley area, is a little place called Aspen Village. But everyone endearingly calls it Ghetto Village because, well, it's ghetto. If cinderblock walls and popcorn ceilings is what you're looking for, this place is for you! Darik was living here when we met; for a short time I was the office assitant when we got married, and after getting my FT job on BYUI campus Darik & I became the night managers for the remainder of our residence in IceBurg. I have now reverted back to ghetto, college-like living arrangements where there is one room that has both your fridge and couch, your 100 sf bedroom has seven pieces of furniture in it, and the closet doors never work so you just rip them out. Like I said, I'll post pics later (For the time being I'll just use the acronym IPPL). It's quite an adjustment from my little 1800 sf dream house in Iowa . . . but I'll eat my sour grapes if this is what I gotta do to get what I want. I am so hoping it takes just 12 months to bust our butts on Oprah's Debt Diet, and it will all pay off when I can get into my own home and settle down! (heaven forbid it take longer, yikes!)
