We heard that over and over again for a while, leading us to believe that our little one wanted to grow up so fast she might be ready for a little potty training. She was all about pulling off her diapers to put on any pair of panties she could find. And she loved sitting on the toilet and wiping and flushing. I thought . . . what the heck, might as well try real quick and see if she's ready if not we'll wait 6-12 more months. But if she is I'm all about saving the moolah on diapers. So Monday was our first official potty training day ------ and our last. Yes, needless to say she lasted 1/2 day -- the goal was to get her on the toilet every 1/2 hour. Ellie is just so stubborn that she refused to go on schedule -- it's like she just resists it because it's my idea. Is this how parenting teenagers is? Anyway that was failed experiment #1. Failed experiment #2 is below:

Last weekend we moved her room and she was laying on a big bed at nighttime cuddled with lamby and blankie saying, "ellie sleep bed, ellie sleep bed". So I decide to bust out the toddler bed our friends in Iowa gave us and just try it. AFter 45 minutes of her getting up and out of her room 4 different times I look at D & say, "GO SET UP THE CRIB!!" I wasn't ready for this adventure, even if she was!
