First I want to preface this by expaining that Elle has always been a little bit on the high maintenance side. Especially for public outings. If we ever do go out (which is seldom) we much prefer to find a babysitter or plan in such strategic ways where she is in the greatest of "going out" moods (i.e. not cranky, tired, hungry, etc.). So we are pleased to announce at age 21 months Ellie has successfully attended her first movie at a theatre. My mom, D, & I brought the 3 girls and Elle to a Happy Feet matinee at the dollar theatre. We made sure to stock up on M&Ms (wisely or foolishly, i'm still not sure). The movie was ok and a little too PC for a kid's show. I've rather grown tired of the plethora of 3D animated films supposedly for kids that throw in adult themes, jokes, and even sometimes language. Could I please get a good ol' Beauty and the Beast? Back to the topic on hand, Ellie did great -- other than hopping back and forth between my & d's laps, inhaling M&Ms like there was no tomorrow, and at one point realizing that neither of us had her and we saw her pigtails bobbing up and down four rows up -- so other than those few drawbacks, she was quiet and well behaved. We were really proud that our baby is growing up.
