Why I shop at Wal-Mart:

Sorry for my short hiatus. I meant to write a short post for my political blog and it took me forever to get that thing done; it turned into a novel. (see the link on the right) I'm one of those kinds of people that if there is an unfinished project it drives me crazy til it's done and over with. So I had to focus on that.

Ellie loves water, and we were watering the lawn on Saturday . . . so naturally she becomes anxiously engaged getting wet. These two are some great shots of her lovin every minute of it:




After it was all the water madness was over, I was reminded why I love hand-me-downs and why I will always shop at walmart:



I love just letting Ellie be a kid and play in dirt and sticks and rocks. It's good for the soul!

    How fun for Ellie. You are so good about not caring about clothes. I still cringe when Nora gets something on a cute outfit. In fact, she spit up orange food all over my favorite white shirt of hers that I was going to use for her year photos. I tried oxy clean but it did not work. My next idea is bleach. Ooh, makes me sad!
