We Heart St. Louis

These shots are from our quick weekend trip from two weeks ago. Friday night we just left Ellie at home with my two cousins and went off to the ballpark to watch the Cubs v. Cards. Ellie fell asleep just fine without us (I was really worried!) and we watched the Cards win! I was wearing my red Nike shirt and we were sitting in front of really LOUD OBNOXIOUS people who were giving all the blue-shirted Cubs fans a hard time and yelling their heads off at the Cubs' right-fielder. My Uncle Gordon tried outing me as a RSox fan to them . . . he told them I was wearing a Sox shirt and I heard a collective intake of breath from my whole section. I turned around and flat-out denied it. I did not want those putzes ruining my night! The next day Darik and I went to visit the St. Louis temple where our friends Ted & Hilery were married. We timed it wrong and missed a session by five minutes, so we waited in the chapel for the full 45 minutes for the next session. The temple is beautiful and we very much enjoyed the peace and joy we felt there. Highly recommended temple trip!

Also while we were there Ellie loved every minute of it . . . including harassing their bird; eating the dog food (she loves Koko, the dog); and learning how to open the pantry and partake of the abundance! Later that day we visited the St. Louis Zoo, as seen inthe pictures. It is a free zoo and rated by Parents magazine as #1 in the country. I can see why, it was awesome. There was so much to see and do there we didn't have time to visit the free Science Center or go to the Arch (we will next time!).

Sounds like you had a fun trip! Next time you head for St. Louis, let us know, we only live like 2 hours from there. We would love to meet you there and do something fun. I have been wanting to go to a Cardnials game really bad. So, let us know!
