One of my friends from Vegas commented that she didn't know what I meant by the "ISU job". I guess I forgot to mention in detail that the position Darik is applying for is the Director of Ticketing at ISU. It isn't in the Athletic Department but rather under University Events and Facility Management. Every event like concerts (Garth Brooks!), track meets (Simplot Games), rodeos (Dodge National Finals Rodeo), etc., that are held on campus would become his ticketing responsibility. Darik has the perfect background that is listed on the job posting here. It takes all of the things he loved about his last job (managerial/administrative) and expands them, while getting rid of all the stuff he didn't like (cold calls/sales). Our back up plans are staying here and joining Metro in Vegas. :-)
