Death by PB&Js

Have you all heard this story? The CDC is tracking the latest outbreak of salmonella and has linked it back to peanut butter.
Nearly 300 people in 39 states (including Iowa) have fallen ill since August, and federal health investigators said they strongly suspect Peter Pan peanut butter and certain batches of Wal-Mart's Great Value house brand — both manufactured by ConAgra Foods Inc.
You know what stinks about this all? My last grocery shopping trip in Iowa had PB on the list, and Ellie had developed a distaste for the generic brand, so I decided I would splurge on the brand name stuff. This morning I read they are urging everyone with this PB to look on the lid, if it starts with 2111 to trash it. Sure enough, my jar starts with 2111. Alanis Morissette would be proud. The one brand name jar of PB I ever buy in my whole life ends up with a rare strain of salmonella.

p.s. Ellie's 7th tooth broke thru on the 14th. It's been 6 months since we've seen any action in the tooth dept. It's a welcome development.
