Kids . . . .

Can't live with 'em:

Right before we moved away from Iowa Ellie became fascinated with the computer buttons, especially seeing the DVDs and CDs that were inside the trays and being able to push them out and in. Well, our computer (or so I thought) is now safely up high out of reach of toddler fingers, so no worries, right? Two weeks ago one of the CDROM trays became stuck. I thought Ellie had just taken a CD and jammed it in there all wonky. Well, I was finally able to pry it open with the help of a scredriver, and lo and behold out comes a COMB!!!! What the Junk!??!! Kids!!!

Can't live without 'em

On Saturday we went to the Wmns last Bball game of the year. At the game she became terrified of Benny the Bengal, learned how to walk up and down stairs by herself by holding the railing (this was terrifying for me, these were concrete stairs!!!), and I caught a shot of her new talent: cheering for ISU through her hands. When games get close and the whole crowd get's loud mom or I cup our hands around our mouths and shout "go defense" or something like that. It wasn't until later in the game we'd realized Ellie was copying us by shouting nonsense (literally, it was something like -- "bolo ko ben dan!") through her hands. It was hilarious -- and awfully darn cute.
