We'll Miss you, Saint Lou

The day after Christmas Darik was offered the ISU job. We started packing like crazy. During all the commotion . . . (drawers and cupboards that once were full were now empty) Ellie was found having a bit too much fun:In the middle of all the packing we took a break for New Year's and headed down to my uncle's house in St. Louis. We really enjoy going to hang out there -- we are really sad they aren't our holiday hang-out spot any more. Ariel (my cuz) made some amazing dessert called Bubble Bread, which Darik quickly inhaled. We watched a Star Wars marathon, played Risk and Apples to Apples and SceneIT, and drank LOTS of Mt. Dew. Ellie loves it there, with all the kids and their dog, Coco. Her candy radar was also on the whole time we were there . . . it was almost impossible to keep sugar out of her mouth!! This is us playing our famous Risk game:

Since it was possibly our last trip to St. Louis, we had to stop at the Arch. After a 20 minute detour getting lost finding the parking lot, we arrived 6 minutes too late to get a early bird parking discount! Oh well, we got so many great shots at the arch I had to make a slide show.
