So yesterday we decided we needed to get out of the house. And the girls did too. We needed to go somewhere that was fun and didn't require any moolah. We thought about going to the Spring Expo at the Holt but the girls immediately began asking what we were going to buy for them. Nix that idea. We decided on the petting zoo.

A week earlier my mom and I had taken the girls there to look at the puppies, monkey, fish, etc., in the store. We then went out to the free petting zoo. Last week they had a momma goat and three baby goats in their own separate gate - that just happened to have a hole in it. So while we were wandering around the boardwalks we had three tiny billy goats gruff following us around. It was so cute the girls would go up to them and hold out their hand, pet them, and then pick them up. I didn't have my camera then, but when we returned this time I made sure to bring it.

Unfortunately they had patched the hole in the fence. I got over it. It was still really fun. They have a playground and an ol' west theatre there for the kids to play in. And the adults too, I guess -- as you can see I couldn't keep D off the little slide! The guy who owns the pet store (Bill McKee) is a stake president here and each year uses the animals from his petting zoo to put on a live nativity at Christmastime. I'm excited to go and see it this year.
