Let's Go Swimmin'

Here are pictures from the baby/toddler swim classes at the campus pool. We are halfway done with our session. While they aren't "literally" teaching the kids how to swim yet, they are getting them to be much more comfortable in the water. They have a PVC-pipe-constructed platform they want the kids to play on, etc., to get used to being in the water without hanging on to anyone. And Ellie is getting a lot better at being on her back in the water. And they're trying to have them blow bubbles and be comfortable just getting their faces wet. If she can do all these things I think next year she'll be ready for a real 3-year old swimming class!(notice the stink eye she's giving us, above. that day I forgot my swimsuit, so our foster teenager Natalie took her in the water. She wasn't too happy with us for the first 20 minutes!)
