the week in review

This week started, well, on a downer. We went to church in the morning early and before the opening prayer Ellie was in timeout in the lobby until she could be sweet. It was really weird. She had never been grumpy at church before. So she calms down and I carry back in and she wants to stay on my lap & she falls asleep. At 11 am!!! She never does this! So I just let her sleep and Christian and I had to go up to the front for the Primary Program. Christian just loved that he got to go up in front of everyone and say his part all by himself. He did great. After sacrament Elle was still sleeping so we let her sleep on the pew and I told D to take her to nursery when she woke up. He did w/15 min left in church and w/10 min left in church they delivered her to my primary room burning up with a fever. The next 48 hours D & I battled to be the cuddle-parent while she slept off her fever. By tuesday morning she was all ready to go to preschool, good as new. And on Wednesday after dance class Claire got to come over and play. They had a great time.

Christian didn't have school on Thursday or Friday (he acted like a candy-crazed hyper man for the whole time) and we went up to Sandy Downs for the kids to play. It was pretty cold and windy but we didn't last long.

After the sand dunes we went up to Grandma Briscoe's house to spend the night. Ellie loves all of her grandmas very much!

  2. I haven't been to the sand dunes for years! WOW! The kids looked like they had tons of fun! Poor Ellie though... I'm glad she's feeling better now. Seems like the 'sick' season is already here. :(
