Success!

You guys, I just had to post a quick update about Primary.  I know it's weird but our little presidency that is learning how to work together and how to get all these things done pulled off the program . . . and then I gave Nursery to my 2nd counselor.  Just told her to do it.  I don't want to hear or see it or have to worry about it - because she can do it just as well as I can - and we have 16 new nursery assistants called and we are splitting our nursery in to Jr/Sr this week (we have 30 kids on the list, average of 16 come) and then I'm in charge of Cub Scouts (1st counselor has music) and we are finally getting Den Leaders called who are fabulous and I have an amazing, diligent Cub Master who is just running with everything now that the people are in place.  I attended a Webelos -> New Scout ceremony last night and it was so nice to just have to show up and just be there - I'm not in charge and I'm not worried, because people are in place to make things happen!!  I think Primary gets easier from here on out.  So my last post made it seem like this job was hard -- well, it was when we didn't have any people in the callings!  Now our callings are filled (4 months of work to make that happen :-) and now I can just sit back and relax.  I think I could get used to this!

  1. 16 assistants?! That is insane! I don't think I have ever seen a nursery that big. That could be so overwhelming.

  2. Evelyn, FYI, they only serve one hour every other week. :-) Our ward is so small (adults, wise) we couldn't get 6 ladies to be in nursery full-time so we have to borrow them from other callings and have them go every other week. Here's hoping :-)
