No News

Nope. We haven't heard from everyone.  Please don't ask.  I think it could be a good thing or a bad thing - either they haven't gotten everyone together in one spot to decide yet OR they already hired someone.  Either way it is the Lord's will and we're good with that.

I know you are all frustrated with the slowness of every single university we interview with and I don't really know what to tell you.  I'm sorry :-)

He has had phone interviews other places and another really good recommendation for another big position hiring in three months.  I'm okay waiting.

I just wish everyone else wasn't so impatient :-)  Do you know whenever I see anyone this is the only thing they ask me about?    It's our own fault for telling people and assuming it would be figured out by now, so I guess we made our own bed and now we have to sleep in it.

p.s.  Today is the last day of rodeo!! Darik has been to work by 7 am and he gets home around 1 am for 4 days straight.  Ellie has been going through withdrawals.  Next week is Monster Truck and will be more of the same, as it is the only event that ever sells out the 12k seat arena.  Baby steps til I have my man back.

p.p.s.  Yesterday I spent 5 hours scrubbing baseboards with a toothbrush and painting them white.  I think I'm about 50% done - so about 5 more hours.  Then all that is left is one last clean up and organizing the patio and DI-ing what didn't sell.  All we have left is 2 desks and the rocking chair.  We have made enough $ to pay for a new dining set and entryway table with what we sold.  It was a good trade-off.  My sister's boyfriend has his own construction company and WAS planning on redoing our roof.  But it's snowing outside.  We'll list the house as soon as that is done and I'll move over to my mom's house to babysit.  I've been babysitting my other brother's kids every once in a while so instead of having 4 kids under the age of 5 in my house all day when a realtor might want to look at it my mom agreed I could babysit over there - no interrupting naps or anything.  So from here on out we'll be away from home Wed - Fri while I do that.  I'm grateful my family has been there to help me out.
