Anyway, I'm grateful for the music snobs in my life. And I say that in the nicest way, I don't think there's anything wrong with being a music snob at all. But I love that my friends Teresa and Andrea put music players on their blogs -- sometimes I just go over there to listen to their music. At first maybe it didn't appeal to me as easy as "radio" songs, but the more I listened the more addicted I became. Too bad I don't have unlimited downloads at Itunes or I'd be copying their playlists :-). And if you have a chance to run into Blue October's "Sound of Pulling Heaven Down" listen to it!

Music Snobs
Ok, first of all I'd like to get out into the open - My name is Kristine, and I'm not a music snob. Not all music will be "works of art". Sometimes I just listen to something and if I like it, I like it. So be it. So yes, I do have a Britney Spears song on my Ipod. So sue me. And today I was listening to the radio and heard New Kids On the Block's new song -- and it's all pop-py and fun and light and probably the artistic equivalent of skittles in my diet -- but I LOVED it. I love that the guys are all my age and that appeals to me, too! (plus . . . HOT?!!)

I'm glad to know that I am not the only one with a Britney Spears song! I appreciate your blogs. They are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI have a Britney Spears song (or two) on my Ipod too!!! HA! I'm so glad you like S.o.p.h.d.! I was wondering what you thought of it. I have to say too- that I just heard the new -new kids- song the other day and I really liked it too. I never liked them back in the day, but if they keep this up- I may become a 'new' fan- ha-ha! ;)
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know that NKOTB was making music still (again?). Crazy.
ReplyDeleteAfter I read this blog the song "The Right Stuff" was in my head forever. I loved NKOTB. I'm also guilty of having a few Britney and NSync songs in the iPod, but I love it.
