Umm, remember four months ago when school started? The tears. The frustration. Well, Tuesday Ellie comes home from school with a big candy bar. About an hour later I go to check her homework in her backpack and what do I find?
For her class Ellie is the Student of the Month for January!! To say we were shocked would be a little understatement. She still hasn't really warmed up to school and doesn't want to go . . . but the last few months we've worked hard on teaching obedience and listening - and apparently she is an obedient listener at school! We still haven't arrived on our journey to liking school but I hope this is a significant step.
